I listen to a lot of music… especially house music. I probably listen to a lot more house music then I listen to my own, and I do listen to mine… A lot and you know what ? I always find a critique, especially after the song has been put out. Even though I had heard it a million times before it was released. I had listened to it from the first concept to the story form. Through the process of deciding which of your experiences you will finally decide to build around. The journey through the mountains of melodies that you have to experience to see if it really fits the mood of the story…

I was reading a reply to a forum last week concerning an editorial that I had written. The posting stated that they hadn't read the whole article but that house music wasn't the most popular music around the world because of the sales of house music not being in the same category as other genres of music. Tears are falling around the world. So many tears that they flow like a river with so much force that they are crushing the hearts of humanity. Crashing into the human spirit like the big metal ball used to break down giant concrete buildings marked for destruction. Can't you here it ? The cries of the threads of humanity being unraveled piece by piece till the quilt of mankind is nothing but tiny pieces of thread seperated and riding on the waves of a polluted river heading to nowhere…

This has been on my mind for a long time, I mean since I came into house music. I've always heard about this thing called underground…
House is underground. Garage is underground. The underground charts, the underground DJ's… What are we hiding here ?

To some of you, this may seem to be an extreme title for the changing face of house music. Some others may say that the changes that have taken place in this genre are the direct result of the changes in society as a whole and the changes in music in particular… Faced with the ripping off of music via internet options which brought the fall of sales of recorded music. The exclusion of house music as a whole on major radio stations which is where other artists in other genres of music make at least enough money to live on. To the X-clusion of artists booked into clubs to make a living with the music that the clubs were built on.
