Back by popular demand and for those who may have missed it, this mix programmed a few months ago as a part of the weekly UDM Show by IDMW.Com head, MFSB, currently doin’ the 24/7 on soon to be launched new services including our much awaited webradio. An old school selection indeed showing if it was ever needed how good vibes remain alive despite their age. Quite a lot of Chicago flavours which come as no surprise from a period – the end of the 80’s – where they used to be dominant, by the likes of Kym Mazelle and Ten City both with production courtesy of Marshall Jefferson, but also Steve ‘Silk’ Hurley on the remix duties for the latest and soul diva Roberta Flack, joined by the late Sylvester and Gary’s Gang on the disco tip. Not to mention one time Mystic Merlin lead singer Freddie Jackson who would later on become a serious contender to peeps such as Luther Vandross and Alexander O’Neal on the R&B front. Let’s not forget neither about the Brits' contributions, from M/A/R/R/S anthemic ‘Pump Up The Volume’ to former ABC lead singer Paul Rutherford and the much underrated ‘Mandy’s Theme’ by… Mandy produced by the hyperactive Stock, Aitken & Waterman back in the daze…
