FFRR |
Back in the daze – in 1988 - when FFRR was still FFRRing and we could speak of a true influential role by the likes of Ibiza where a handful of British Jocks would get a whole bunch of vibes while spinning there during the Summer and try to recapture them on what was to be called the Balearic sound, came this absolute anthem in the genre. A cover version as a matter of fact, done by PWL activists, Phil Harding and Ian Curnow (alongside Stock, Aitken & Waterman) with co-production work by Paul Oakenfold at the time he was still Oakenfolding. And a rendition which has remained quite true to the spirit of the original, taken from the Elkin & Nelson 1974 Angeles Y Demonios released album and reissued 12 years later as a 12’’ on Columbia. Damned, how time flies… MFSB
