History and most likely the disco period is made of those cuts sounding like immortal from a generation to another with the aforementioned among the most sought after from there on its original 7’ something 12’’ release. Of course I guess chances are very few to ring any bell should I mention the names of the band members, from Congocerist/vocalist Bruce Slade, to drummer Victor Santos equally droppin’ his voice on occasion, guitarist Kevin Beverly and the twosome who’ve written this absolute classic: Melvin Barton (Bass, vocals) and Walter Chiles (keyboards, vocals). Although many of you should have heard of them already, either while listening to the famous Underdogs edit a couple of years ago or to the Disco Forever compilation which would include ‘Corazon’ back in 2000 on BBE. Not to mention, for the disco headz, the volume 2 of the Disco Gold series as compiled by Tom Moulton for Scepter Records in… 1975. And the fact is one may find here all the ingredients/influences, such as funk and jazz, not to mention the arrangements which would contribute to make the so called disco with absolute no equal as far as the whole dance music spectrum is concerned.
