MFSB who celebrates his 30th year…
in da mix this year is back on action with the follow up to his series of
mixtapes, blending classics and hard to find tunes from those days remembered as
the burgeoing period that would give birth to the international dance music
culture. So What you're gonna get on this section is a weekly series of
numerized mixtapes that he's done throughout the years, should it be early
house, R&B, disco, downtempo, soul funk and the likes. Welcome on board…
True to the spirit of the period, this
selection is another disdplay of everything from soul supremo Will Downing
to funkster Sweet Pea Atkinson and Madonna-like Regina.
Also on board are Baltimore pioneers The Basement Boys with their cover
of the classic "Love Don't Live Here Anymore" which would become their first
major cut, The Beatmasters with their heavily supported "Rock Da House"
best remembered in France for being used as the soundtrack to famous TV show
'Ciel mon mardi'… Meanwhile Raze would provide UK label
Champion Records with one of their most sought after references. Let's dance !
