First Listen: 3 Winans Brothers feat. Karen Clark Sheard – I Choose You (Louie Vega Dance Ritual Mix) (Vega Records)
On the heels of the memorable ‘Dance’ (our single of 2015)… The 3 Winans Brothers back to the forefront along with Louie Vega and Karen Clark Sheard. A cut which Vega heavily promoed during the ADE via a 3 tracker 12″ release. With the good news being that it comes up with a bunch of extra remixes to choose from.
The ‘Dance Ritual’, which has become a trademark on its own, explores Dance territories. Something that shouldn’t come as a surprise. Menwhile, the ‘Mid Tempo Mix’ (I wish we could get it too on Youtube) brings us to mellower territories.
Hard to choose though from one to another as a matter of fact. With Vega‘s post production work needing no further proof of its quality.
Here we go again with a standout quality vocal performance by the likes of the brothers. With Karen Clark Sheard‘s additional parts standing as the icing on the cake.
All in all, ‘I Choose You’ is a classic. And this without a single doubt. But most likely an essential for those of you into Gospel vibes. Let’s see what’s gonna be your choice at the end.
