Lost but not least! Erotic Drum Band – Jerky Rhythm (Prism)
Gino Soccio, Troiano and others… As many Italian migrants who heavily contributed to the recognition of the Canadian Disco scene back in the day. With this Peter Di Milo directed studio concept adding to it. A man whom you might remember for a few gems back then. Beginning with ‘Love Disco Style’. But also ‘Plugged Me To Death’ back at the end of the 70’s. Even though ‘Jerky Rhythm’ would stand as the Holy Grail for its 9 minute + of jazzy Hammond part led funky percussive madness! With executive production by the likes George Cucuzzella who built the Unidisc galaxy along with time.
Sounding like the unlikely father of Eric Kupper presents K-Scope‘s ‘Latin Blues Pt. 1’…
The creative force behind Erotic Drum Band, Italian native Peter Di Milo relocated to Canada with his family when he was a kid.
A multi instrumentalist, an arranger and a producer, he has contributed to a consistant series of projects. Therefore standing among the most prolific actors of the Canadian Disco scene in the 70’s.
He released 2 albums under the Erotic Drum Band guise. Beginning with ‘Action 78’ which features his biggest classics. From its title track to ‘Love Disco Style’, ‘Plug Me To Death’ and ‘Jerky Rhythm’. But he also made some noise at the time with his production work for Nightlife Unlimited, Ann Joy and Jump.
