Franck Roger presents Ekobah (Needs Music)

This Beat Is Mine! (*) Franck Roger presents Ekobah (Main Mix) (Needs Music)

Is this House, is this Deep House, is this Jazz House? Who cares at the end, as only the emotion counts.
‘Ekobah’ to me is probably one of the best, if not the most accomplished jam by the likes of French DJ/producer Franck Roger in terms of atmosphere. Hard not to think of works by the likes of Joe Claussell (‘Maringa’ for instance) or Antonio Ocasio. Even though the style stands on its own. Sounding like a cinematic trip that remains as fascinating as when it appeared some 13 years ago on German label Needs Music. With big ups to Olivier M’Sellem in charge of the piano, organ and xylophone parts as to saxophonist Loik Gayot

Here we most likely have the most introspective side of the French Touch!

Once in a week (on Wednesdays), we leave you at the command of IDMW
For this to happen, nothing’s more easy… What you’ve just got to do is drop us a line while using our contact form and let us know about your favorite piece of music (*), along with a review explaining what it suggests you and why people should dig it. And the best of it will be given a publication with your credit the week after.

With warm thanks to Bremerhaven-based correspondent, Wolfgang Pieters, for this week’s suggestion…

Gladly welcoming yours to be published next Wednesday. On your marks!
