Classics: Michelle Weeks – The Light (UBP Classic Mix) (Soulfuric Recordings)
Michelle Weeks. Or and here comes… The Light!
Hailing from New Jersey – something one can feel both in her repertoire and the way she sings – Michelle Weeks has established herself as one of the most powerful performers in the House Music circuit. Besides how could we ever forget the outstanding ‘Can U See The Light’? A Body & Soul classic which she sung with Dawn Tallman and the late Sabrynaah Pope under the Voices guise back in the mid-90’s…
True to her Gospel roots, Michelle Weeks delivers another stapple in the genre. Meanwhile teamin’ up with Swiss producer Jamie Lewis back in 2002. With the whole resulting in the rumblin’ Alfonso Carey‘s bass-driven ‘The Light’. A monument given a remix courtesy of Traxsource heads Brian Tappert and Marc Pomeroy under their Urban Blues Project guise…
