Needless – Unnamed Feelings (Remix)

Single Of The Week! Needless – Unnamed Feelings (Brian Harden Jazzy Mix) (Grooveland Music)

Unbelievable vocal performance. That’s the first thing coming to mind when listening to this smoothie. What an aural delight although the female singer has remained uncredited for this! A song which first appeared as a part of the recently released ’10 Years of Soulful House’ compilation marking the label’s 10th Birthday.

Chicago DJ/producer Brian Harden has perfectly recaptured its initial feeling. Eventually enhancing its impression of fragility with lush keys.

Unnamed feelings… May be because words are simply missing to describe them…

Having established himself with the best of his Chicago peers, Brian Harden has constantly released innovative House sounds. And for that, he stayed true to his roots meanwhile exploring his wide world influences. His musical DNA being a blend of his parents’ Disco, Jazz collection together with Chicago’s rich electronic heritage…

Things like Herbie Hancock’s ‘Rockit’ inspired him to produce his own sounds. And also the music of Axel F, Paul Hardcastle and Miles Davis. Before long Brian was handing out his music to grateful Chicago DJ’s. He soon came to cross the paths of Roy Davis, Jr. and Acid inventors Phuture. After rapping on one of their Hip-House records, his production career began proper. Meanwhile the first fruits of his impressive discography were hand picked by tastemaking DJ’s all over the world.

Brian’s singular sound is richly melodic and instinctive. In other words, it’s full of magic musical motifs that warm the heart and soul as much as drive the feet. Whether producing solo or with the likes of The S.J.U. or Roy Davis, Jr., Brian has always brought a unique sense of style to the studio.

Admired by veterans as much as young talents, Brian has recently re-asserted himself after a break. Focus on his business career is his main preoccupation…
