Purple Disco Machine – Encore (Mousse T Remix)

Tennerz: Purple Disco Machine feat. Baxter – Encore (Mousse T Remix) (Sweat It Out!)

There are many ways to translate “Encore” in English. From “Still” to “Again”, “Yet” or “More”. Meanwhile “Encore” in English would find its equivalent in French as “Rappel”. In other words, a call to return to stage for a further performance. Which one could call as well an “Encore” in French.

“Encore” most likely suggests in iself the idea of lookin’ forward to be getting some more. And this is most definitely what we have with this remix by the likes of Mousse T. Although it pretty much turns this composition into a brand new affair. Into a far more infectious thing. At the crossroad between Disco, House and… Nu-Disco! From its rhythm pattern that seems inherited from The Brothers Johnson‘s ‘Stomp!’. To its stellar keys reminding of KC & The Sunshine Band‘s classic ‘Shake Your Booty’. The whole comin’ up with a funky strings hook bringin’ us back to the souvenir of the unforgettable ‘Horny’.

Not that far neither from the sparkling ‘Friends’ by the likes of Sneaky Sound System. All in all, one of those blowing things you can’t get out of your head… Encore!!!

Since then, The Dresden-born Deep Funk innovator has racked up numerous achievements. Although it was his 2013 breakthrough hit – ‘My House’ – on OFF Recordings, that really propelled PDM onto new heights. Enough to get the global A&Ring teams to bookmark the Purple Disco Machine name for remixing projects. With the man adding his magic to the releases of luminaries such as Jamiroquai, New Order and/or Claptone to name a few.

PDM has ended up releasing his debut-album – ‘Soulmatic’ – back in 2017. An effort which includes ‘Encore’ now delivered with some firing remixing work courtesy of Mousse T. The latter gettin’ us to welcome it in our Top 10 by the end of October 2018.
