This Beat Is Mine! (*) TIEKS featuring Celeste – Sing That Song (Tiga Remix) (Atlantic)
Been literally dancin’ my ass off. This when listening to this ‘Sing That Song’ thing at a party next door by some friends of mine. As a matter of fact, I love the way the singer does his job, its Electro Dance pulsating funk feel, and its conception. With the whole all in all sounding like different episodes which the producer put together as one to form a story. With each of them bringing something to the whole.
I’m quite sure you’re gonna like it too, with thanks for sharing. ‘Sing That Song’ really makes it…

For this to happen, nothing’s more easy… What you’ve just got to do is drop us a line while using our contact form and let us know about your favorite piece of music (*), along with a review explaining what it suggests you and why people should dig it. And the best of it will be given a publication with your credit the week after.
With warm thanks to Stockholm-based correspondent, Maria Svensson, for this week’s suggestion…
Gladly welcoming yours to be published next Wednesday. On your marks!
Emerging from the same stable as Duke Dumont, London producer and musician Mark-Anthony Tieku first started to put music together at the age of 14. Eventually findin’ his influences from the repertoires of luminaries such as Daft Punk, David Bowie and Nile Rodgers. His unique blend of House and Electro/Pop vibes gettin’ him to make his breakthrough back in September. This while joinin’ forces with singer Celeste Waite on the syncopated ‘Sing That Song’ with remixing work courtesy of Tiga. Therefore, no need stating as to how its use in an advert for British clothing line F&F pretty much propelled him to nationwide attention. Thus landing him in the U.K. Top 100.
A year on (2015) and Tieks returned with ‘Sunshine’ featuring Dan Harkna on Ministry Of Sound. Eventually climbing at #15 position in the charts. And, by that, scoring his biggest success to date as a matter of fact. 2017 seeing him eventually joinin’ forces with Chaka Khan and Popcaan on ‘Say A Prayer’. Then 2018 seeing him teamin’ up with Bobii Lewis on ‘Break The Rules’. Itself comin’ up with alternative remixing work courtesy of Vladimir Cauchemar.
